Palestine: PA calls on international community to stop Israel's escalating violations

12 March 2022; MEMO: The Palestinian Authority (PA) on Friday condemned the escalating Israeli violations against Palestinians and journalists, a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs and Expatriates revealed.

The statement came following Israeli aggression on Palestinians and journalists in several villages and neighbourhoods across the occupied West Bank.

Atlanta: Tribute to victims on anniversary of spa shootings: USA

ATLANTA (AP) — Nearly a year after eight people were killed in a mass shooting at three Atlanta-area spas, many of them women of Asian descent, community members came together Saturday to remember the victims at a memorial tribute.

More than 150 people gathered at a park to listen to family members of victims and members of Atlanta’s Asian American community speak about the shootings and their impact on their lives, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

India: Delayed justice turns meaningless: HC CJ Bindal

Mathura, Mar 12 (PTI) Chief Justice Rajesh Bindal of the Allahabad High Court here on Saturday sought to drive home the malady of delayed justice, recalling an incident in which a man refused to take the compensation 25 years after the death of his son in a road accident and asked the court to keep the money.

Justice Bindal narrated the incident while inaugurating the holding of Lok Adalat here and said, Delayed relief often turns meaningless.

12 March 2022; MEMO: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the situation in Ukraine has revealed major problems within the United Nations (UN) Security Council. Erdogan noted: "If the world had objected to the occupation of Ukraine in 2014, would we be facing the current outlook? Those who were silent on Crimea in 2014 now speak up, is justice valid only for a part of the world?" referring to Moscow's unilateral annexation of Crimea.

12 March 2022; MEMO: Palestinian-French activist Hussam Kamal has said that the dissolution of pro-Palestine NGOs in France is likely related to Zionist lobbying, Quds Press reported on Friday.

French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin announced on Wednesday that Palestine Vaincra and Comité Action Palestine "incite violence and provoke terrorist attacks" and would be dissolved in "accordance with the president of the republic".

Palestine: Jerusalem Mufti slams formers US Vice Prez for Ibrahimi Mosque tour with Israeli lawmakers

11 March 2022; MEMO: The Palestinian Mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein, today condemned the visit by former US Vice President, Mike Pence, to the Ibrahimi Mosque in the West Bank city of Hebron.

In a statement, the Mufti said, "The Ibrahimi Mosque is an Islamic Mosque and a worship place for Muslims alone. What the US Vice President did was a provocative act and extremely dangerous. The occupation authorities bear its consequences."

India: 2 Kashmiris killed by Indian Sec Forces in Pulwama district of Indian Administered Kashmir

Srinagar, 10 March 2022: Two Kashmiris were killed on Thursday by Indian security forces in Naina Batpora village of Pulwama district of the Indian Administered Kashmir, Indian officials said.

They were identified as Shahid Ahmed Khan, resident of Batpora, Pulwama, and Fayaz Sheikh, resident of Shahpora, Ganderbal.

Tunisia: UN expresses concern about 'erosion' of state institutions

10 March 2022; MEMO: The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, has expressed her concern about the suspension of the Tunisian parliament and the rapid "erosion" of Tunisian institutions, Al-Quds Al-Arabi has reported.

Bachelet made her comments during the 29th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva on Tuesday.
