6 Pakistan soldiers and as many terrorists killed in Balochistan

Islamabad, May 13 (PTI) At least six Pakistani soldiers and as many terrorists were killed in a gun battle between the security forces and militants in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province on Saturday.

The rebels attacked a paramilitary Frontier Corps Compound in the Muslim Bagh area of the province, leading to a hostage situation, according to a statement by the army.

Six soldiers killed in Pakistan army helicopter crash

NEW DELHI, Sept 26 (NNN-Bernama) — Six soldiers, including two majors, were killed in a Pakistani military helicopter crash in the province of Balochistan on Sunday night.

The helicopter crashed during a flying mission in the Harnai area, the military’s media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Monday.

“All 6 personnel on board including 2 pilots have embraced shahadat (martyrdom),” the ISPR said.

This is the second army helicopter crash in Balochistan in less than two months.

6 killed in attack on pro-Palestine rally in southwest Pakistan

21 May 2021; MEMO: At least six people were killed and several others injured in a bomb blast at a pro-Palestine rally today in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, officials said, Anadolu Agency reports.

The blast occurred at a busy street in Chaman district, which borders neighbouring Afghanistan, Liaquat Shahwani, a spokesman for the Balochistan government, told Anadolu Agency.

Pakistan blast kills six, wounds 13 at pro-Palestinian rally

(Reuters) --- A bomb blast killed six people on Friday at a pro-Palestinian rally in southwest Pakistan and wounded 13, including the leader of a hardline religious party that organised the event, police said, but there was no immediate claim of responsibility.

The motorcycle bomb exploded as people dispersed at the end of the rally held in the city of Chaman near the Afghan border in the province of Balochistan, the region's police chief, Jafar Khan, told Reuters by telephone.

Islamabad, Jan 31, IRNA -- The mutual trade gate between Iran and Pakistan has been reopened for local traders in Balochistan, local media reported on Sunday.

The trade gate, which is commonly known as Zero Point Gate at Taftan border crossing had been closed in September last year due to which the activities of local traders on both sides of the border were affected.

9 terrorists killed in shoot-out with police in SW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, May 16 (Xinhua): At least nine terrorists were killed and four policemen injured in an operation by counter-terrorism department (CTD) of police in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Thursday, local reports said.

The operation was carried out on an intelligence tip-off regarding presence of suspected militants in a compound being used as terrorists' camp in Mustang district of the province, ARY News reported.

2 killed, 11 injured in bomb blast in SW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, May 13 (Xinhua): At least two policemen were killed and 11 others injured on Monday evening in a bomb blast in Quetta district of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province, a provincial minister said.

Provincial Interior Minister Mir Zia Langau said the blast hit a police mobile near a market in the Satellite Town area of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan.
