Palestine Says Israel Obstructs Efforts To Stabilise Truce In Gaza

RAMALLAH, Jul 11 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestine yesterday accused Israel of obstructing efforts to stabilise the truce in the Gaza Strip by tightening the blockade.

In a statement, the Palestinian ministry of foreign affairs, said that, more than two million people in the Gaza Strip “pay heavy prices, due to the endless Israeli blockade, which ruined their daily living.”

“The Israeli blockade has led to sabotaging lives of the Palestinian citizens and declining the level of basic services provided, under the pressure of Israeli delay and extortion,” the statement said.

Palestinians in Israel chant 'Jerusalem is red line' during flag march

10 July 2021; MEMO: Hundreds of Palestinians in Israel took part in a Palestine Flag March organised on Friday in the city of Umm Al-Fahm in Israel, Arab48.com reported.

The Palestine Flag March was organised by young Palestinians and sponsored by Palestinian factions and public figures in Israel.

The Palestinian flag was raised during the march by Palestinians wearing the Palestinian keffiyeh chanting anti-Israeli occupation slogans.

Among the chanted slogans was: "Jerusalem is a red line."

Palestinian-American Christians urge Biden to reconsider Hamas policy

10 July 2021; MEMO: A letter sent by Palestinian-American Christians has asked US President Joe Biden to reconsider his policy towards Hamas, stressing that it is not a terrorist group, but a freely-elected movement.

The letter was sent to Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken by the Palestinian Christian Alliance for Peace (PCAP). It came following remarks made by Blinken in Ramallah on 25 May.

Palestinian President Abbas meets US Congress delegation

09 July 2021; MEMO: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas yesterday discussed the peace process and the latest developments in the occupied territories with a delegation from the US Congress, Wafa reported.

The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the United States House of Representatives, Gregory Meeks, headed the delegation which included 11 members representing the Democratic and Republican parties. They met with Abbas at the headquarters of the presidency in Ramallah, in the central occupied West Bank.

09 July 2021; MEMO: Israeli forces have demolished the family home of Palestinian-American Montaser Shalabi, who was accused of being involved in a shooting that killed one Israeli and injured two others. Shalabi was indicted in an Israeli military court in the occupied West Bank in May when Israeli student Yehuda Guetta was shot dead.

Israel expels former Palestinian prisoners from occupied Jerusalem

09 July 2021; MEMO: The Israeli occupation forces have handed four former Palestinian prisoners expulsion orders from the city of Jerusalem for terms of between three and six months. The orders also ban the individuals from having any contact with a number of people and activists.

Israel demolishes family home of suspected Palestinian attacker

TURMUS AYYA, West Bank, July 8 (Reuters) - Israel drew U.S. criticism on Thursday when it destroyed the family home of a Palestinian-American accused of involvement in a shooting that killed an Israeli and wounded two others in the occupied West Bank.

Muntasir Shalabi was indicted in an Israeli military court over the attack in May near the city of Nablus in which student Yehuda Guetta was shot dead.

Israel clears lands belonging to endowment department near Al-Aqsa Mosque

08 July 2021; MEMO: Bulldozers belonging to the Israel Nature and Parks Authority stormed land owned by the Islamic Endowments in Al-Suwaneh neighbourhood, in the centre of occupied Jerusalem, yesterday and began bulldozing it.

Sources in Jerusalem reported that the land is at the Wadi Al-Joz junction, next to the Al-Jallad family's house, in an area close to the eastern wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Israel destroys house of prisoner, leave mother and 3 kids homeless

08 July 2021; MEMO: Israeli occupation forces this morning destroyed the house of Palestinian prisoner Muntaser Shalaby, in the village of Turmus Ayya in the northwest of Ramallah.

Eyewitnesses said a large number of Israeli occupation troops raided the village at night and an Israeli army engineering unit planted explosives in the house.

Following the demolition, scores of Palestinians protested against the presence and actions of occupation forces in the village.
