27 March 2024; MEMO: Hamas vowed, Wednesday, that it will not release any Israeli hostage in its captivity until its demands are fulfilled, Anadolu Agency reports.

Hamas demands an end to Israel’s deadly offensive on the Gaza Strip and the withdrawal of the Israeli forces from the Territory for any hostage-prisoner swap deal with Tel Aviv.

Palestinians call US's temporary pier in Gaza ‘occupation port’

27 March 2024; MEMO: Palestinians are describing a temporary pier being constructed by the US on the shores of Gaza City as an “occupation port”, Anadolu Agency reports.

US President Joe Biden, on 7 March, announced that he had tasked the US military with building a temporary pier off Gaza for the delivery of much-needed humanitarian aid, as Israel continues to let only a trickle of aid into the enclave by land.

19 Palestinians killed as Israeli forces shell Palestinians waiting for aid in Gaza

24 March 2024; MEMO: At least 19 Palestinians were killed and 23 others injured in an Israeli attack targeting civilians who were waiting for aid southeast of Gaza City, the Gaza Media Office stated on Saturday, Anadolu Agency reports.

“The Israeli occupation commits a massacre, killing 19 and injuring 23 civilians while thousands of citizens were waiting for flour and aid near Al-Kuwait roundabout,” the media office said in a statement.

Israeli hostage dies in Gaza due to lack of medicine, food

24 March 2024; MEMO: An Israeli hostage in Gaza died due to a shortage of medicine and food, Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said on Saturday, Anadolu reports.

“We announce the death of the Zionist captive Yejiv Bukhattaf, 34, due to shortages of medicine and food,” Al-Qassam stated via Telegram.

Palestine: More than 100 Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa mosque compound to celebrate Purim

24 March 2024; MEMO: More than 100 Israeli settlers forced their way into the flashpoint Al-Aqsa Mosque complex on Sunday to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Purim, according to a Palestinian agency, Anadolu Agency reports.

In a statement, the Jordan-run Islamic Waqf Department, which oversees the holy sites in Jerusalem, said the settlers entered the site through the mosque’s al-Maghariba Gate under police protection.

Israel bans Palestinian Christians from Jerusalem on Palm Sunday

25 March 2024; MEMO: Israel banned thousands of Palestinian Christians in the occupied West Bank from entering the occupied city of Jerusalem to participate in Palm Sunday celebrations in advance of the Western church dates for Easter next weekend. Israeli troops were out in force at checkpoints surrounding Jerusalem and in the vicinity of the Old City.

Palestine: 13 ICU patients killed after Israel storms Shifa Hospital

The Israeli army has caused the death of 13 patients in Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital’s intensive care unit by depriving them of medicine, oxygen and food, the Government Media Office said yesterday, Anadolu reported.

In a statement, the media office said: “The Israeli army premeditatedly killed 13 patients by denying them medicine, saline, electricity and oxygen since it occupied the hospital for the fourth consecutive day.”

Israel army, Shin Bet admit no ‘senior leaders’ arrested at Al-Shifa Hospital

23 March 2024; MEMO: The Israeli army and Shin Bet published misleading reports about the military operation at Al-Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, which has been ongoing since late last Sunday night, as well as the martyrdom of dozens of Palestinians there, claiming that “very senior” leaders of Al-Qassam Brigades had been arrested.

Palestine: 3 more journalists killed in Israel's attacks on Gaza

23 March 2024; MEMO: Another three Palestinian journalists were killed in fresh Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 136 since 7 October 2023, Anadolu Agency reports.

A statement by the media office identified the slain journalists as Muhammad Al-Rifi, Abdul Rahman Saima, and Mahmoud Imad Issa.
