Children in Silwan traumatised by Israel's ethnic cleansing policy

16 July 2021; MEMO: Palestinian children in the occupied East Jerusalem neighbourhood of Silwan have been traumatised by Israel's ongoing ethnic cleansing campaign, including threats to demolish their homes.

In a video report, the Maydan Al-Quds TV channel showed children who said they were afraid of displacement and are haunted by the idea of losing their homes and memories.

Israel Should Abide By Peace Agreements With Palestine: Palestinian PM

RAMALLAH, Jul 15 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestinian Prime Minister, Mohammed Ishtaye, said yesterday that, Israel should abide by the peace agreements it has signed with Palestine, to advance a serious political process.

The prime minister made the appeal, during a meeting with former U.S. Representative, Robert Wexler, in the West Bank city of Ramallah, according to a statement issued by Ishtaye’s office.

Palestine: Israel demolishes Bedouin homes, seizes solar power units in West Bank

15 July 2021; MEMO: Israeli forces demolished 11 Palestinian-owned homes this morning in the Bedouin village of Al-Qabbun, to the northeast of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, reported Wafa news agency.

The locals said large Israeli military forces raided the village with lorries and bulldozers.

Local activist, Fares Ka'abneh, told Wafa that the Israeli occupation forces also seized tractors, water tankers and solar power units.

Facebook removes Gaza-based Shehab News Agency from platform

14 July 2021; MEMO: Facebook yesterday removed the page of the Palestinian Shehab News Agency from its platform.

News Director at Shehab, Hossam Al-Zayegh, described Facebook's action as a new violation of freedom of opinion and expression guaranteed by international law.

"Deleting our page is a reprehensible and condemned action which aims to fight Palestinian content under the pretext of violating standards and inciting violence," he added.

Palestine Says Israel Obstructs Efforts To Stabilise Truce In Gaza

RAMALLAH, Jul 11 (NNN-WAFA) – Palestine yesterday accused Israel of obstructing efforts to stabilise the truce in the Gaza Strip by tightening the blockade.

In a statement, the Palestinian ministry of foreign affairs, said that, more than two million people in the Gaza Strip “pay heavy prices, due to the endless Israeli blockade, which ruined their daily living.”

“The Israeli blockade has led to sabotaging lives of the Palestinian citizens and declining the level of basic services provided, under the pressure of Israeli delay and extortion,” the statement said.

Israel blocks access of relief aid to Bedouin community

12 July 2021; MEMO: Israeli forces prevented the access of a relief aid truck transporting humanitarian and food supplies to Palestinians in the northern occupied Jordan Valley. The truck was going to the residents of Khirbet Humsah Al-Foqa, a community which was demolished a few days ago by the Israeli forces for the seventh time this year.

Israel to withhold $180m of Palestinian tax funds

12 July 2021; MEMO: Israel will withhold $180 million in tax transfers to the Palestinian Authority (PA) to offset money transfers going to families of Palestinian prisoners and martyrs, the Israeli cabinet announced yesterday.

According to Wafa news agency, the decision to freeze the funds came after a report from Israel's Defence Ministry that the PA transferred $180 million "in indirect support of terrorism in 2020."
