India: Sun heat turns salty water sweet after vapourisation method

KANPUR:  A researcher has found a formula to clean the brine and fluoride-containing water. The simple method found by the Harcourt Butler research scholar was to prepare a wooden box with Galvanized Iron sheet, thermal and glass.

Explaining his work he said that the wooden box glass covers the GI sheet coated with activated charcoal. The water is poured into the box and kept under the sun. The rays of the sun heat up the water and it turns into vapour then condensed into water after cooling. This vapourisation method makes the water drinkable.
