Tehran, Nov 27, IRNA – Navy Commander Rear-Admiral Hossein Khanzadi said on Wednesday that Iranian, Chinese and Russian Naval forces are to conduct a tripartite maneuver in the north Indian Ocean in the near future.

Khanzadi made the remarks at a news conference held in Tehran on the occasion of national Navy Day on November 28.

Initial planning has been done and the forces are getting ready for holding the drills, the Navy commander said.

27 Nov 2019; MEMO: Approximately 731 banks and 140 government sites were torched in the recent unrest in Iran, Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli said in remarks published by the official IRNA news agency on Wednesday, says Reuters.

More than 50 bases used by security forces were attacked and approximately 70 gas stations were also burned, he said, without specifying where the attacks took place.

Tehran, Nov 26, IRNA – Iran's Minister of Industry, Mining and Trade Reza Rahmani said on Tuesday that if his ministry makes sure that a certain item of goods produced in Iran has a reasonable quality, the government is to ban it's import.

Reza Rahmani said in a meeting about domesticization of electrical, electronic, and telecommunication devices that this approach is acceptable and is the main strategy for solving problems like unemployment and inflation.

26 Nov 2019; MEMO: Commander of Lorestan province’s Law Enforcement Police Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Mahdian Nasab announced that his forces have identified and arrested 17 leaders of protests against fuel price rises in the western province.

State-run IRNA news agency quoted Nasab as saying that “17 rioters and anarchists who perpetrated and executed attacks on public and private properties have been identified and arrested.”

26 Nov 2019; MEMO: The head of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) General Hossein Salami yesterday vowed to take revenge from the killers of members of security forces who died during the fuel protests which have ripped through the country.

“We will take revenge for the martyrs defending security from the global arrogance forces and their agents in the country,” Salami said, warning those involved that they will not escape the intelligence community’s grip.

TEHRAN, Nov. 24 (NNN-IRNA) – A senior Iranian military official, said that, the Iranian ground forces have become self-sufficient in drone technology.

“The Iranian ground troops have so far conducted some development plans, in order to provide all army units with hardware to stand up to any possible threats,” Kiumars Heidari, commander of Iranian Army Ground Forces, said, in a meeting with senior army officials.

Heidari said earlier that, a new prototype of the Farpad hand-propelled UAV had been built and delivered to operational units.

Iranian Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri has warned countries in the region that they will face serious consequences if they are involved in the recent unrest witnessed in Iran.

“Some countries in the region should know that they will not have an easy life in the region if clues are found that show they intervened to create unrest in Iran,” the semi-official Fars news agency quoted Jahangiri as saying. The official didn’t name which countries were suspected of involvement.

25 Nov 2019; MEMO: A senior commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has urged the country’s judiciary to mete out harsh sentences to what he described as “mercenaries” involved in protests against a fuel price hike last week, reported by Reuters.

TEHRAN, Nov 24 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry, on Saturday, condemned the U.S. fresh move, to sanction the Iranian minister of information and communications technology (ICT).

U.S. Treasury Secretary, Steven Mnuchin, announced sanctions on the Iranian Minister, Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi, over what he called, Jahromi’s alleged role in the “wide-scale Internet censorship” in Iran, following recent wave of violence pertaining to the gas price hike in the country.

UNITED NATIONS, Nov 19 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran’s envoy to the United Nations, highlighted the necessity of the establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons, saying, the US and Israel are the main obstacles to the establishment of such a zone.

Majid Takht-Ravanchi made the remarks, in an address to the Conference on the establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and Other Weapons of Mass Destruction, in New York.
