Indian investors ready for electrifying Tehran-Tabriz train

Tabriz, Nov 6, IRNA – Indian investors, visiting Rabe Rashidi of Innovation and Technology Exhibition (Rinotex), voiced their readiness for undertaking rail projects, especially electrifying Tabriz-Tehran train, said East Azarbaijan deputy governor general for coordinating developmental affairs on Tuesday.

Javad Rahmati told IRNA on Wednesday, "If the investors accept risk of investment, we are ready for cooperation with them based on build-operate-transfer (BOT)."

Rouhani declares start of gas injection to 1044 centrifuges

Tehran, Nov 6, IRNA - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a message referred to Iran'd 4th step of reducing JCPOA commitments and , saying gas injection to 1044 centrifuges will start on Wednesday.

"Iran’s 4th step in reducing its commitments under the JCPOA by injecting gas to 1044 centrifuges begins today," Rouhani wrote in his Twitter account on Wednesday.

"Thanks to US policy and its allies, Fordow will soon be back to full operation," he added. 

Iran President Sends Letters To Saudi King On Peace Cooperation

TEHRAN, Nov 5 (NNN-TASNIM) – Iran said, President Hassan Rouhani, sent letters to Saudi Arabia’s king, for cooperation on regional peace.

“The theme of the letters has been regional peace and stability,” Ali Rabiee, government spokesman, was quoted as saying.

“We believe multiple bilateral ties could be shaped in the region, and the U.S. pressures should not cause a distance between neighbours,” Rabiee added.

On Saturday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that, Iran had forwarded its Hormuz peace plan to regional states.

Iran sends Hormuz peace plan to regional states

TEHRAN, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that Iran has forwarded a peace plan over the Strait of Hormuz to the regional states, official IRNA news agency reported.

The full text of the Hormuz Peace Initiative has been sent to the members of the Gulf Cooperation Council as well as Iraq, said the ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi.

Iran's move indicates its seriousness in preserving the stability and security of the Gulf region, Mousavi noted.

Iran, Iraq Connect Power Grids To Increase Electricity Exchanges

TEHRAN, Nov 2 (NNN-TASNIM) – Iran connected its national power grid to that of Iraq on Friday, a news agency reported.

The power grids of the neighbouring countries were synchronised in a ceremony, with the participation of Iranian energy minister and the Iraqi deputy minister of electricity, the report said, without further details.

The move is aimed at helping Iraq reduce its power outages, it added.

The agreement to connect the two countries’ power grids was reached earlier this year.

Iran’s Zarif calls on US to return to 2015 nuclear deal

2 Nov 2019; MEMO: The United States should return to a 2015 nuclear deal between Iran and major powers, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Friday, saying the new US sanctions imposed on Tehran showed failure of Washington’s policy, Reuters reports.

“Rather than dig itself deeper, US should abandon failed policies & return to #JCPOA (the 2015 nuclear deal),” Zarif tweeted.

U.S. new sanctions on Iran "failure" of maximum pressure campaign: FM

TEHRAN, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Friday lashed out at U.S. new sanctions against Iran.

On Thursday, the White House imposed sanctions on Iran's construction sector. U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that Iran's construction sector is heavily influenced by Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), an elite part of Iran's army which Washington has announced as "a terrorist group."

Iran denounces U.S. new sanctions on construction sector

TEHRAN, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- Iran's Foreign Ministry on Saturday slammed the recent U.S. sanctions against Iran's construction sector.

In a statement, Foreign Ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said that the new U.S. sanctions against the country's construction sector indicate Washington's "weakness and failure."

"Unfortunately, the U.S. diplomacy is incapable of initiatives and only relies on coercion and economic terrorism," Mousavi said.

The spokesman urged the United States to quit "imposing repetitive sanctions ... which are doomed to failure."
