UAE spy agents train PKK terrorists in Syria

29 Aug 2020; MEMO: United Arab Emirates has sent many spy agents to Syria to train YPG/PKK terrorists over the past few years, Anadolu Agency has learned from multiple sources.

After holding secret talks with the terrorists in 2017, the UAE sent intelligence officers in the area the following year.

They train YPG/PKK terrorists in espionage, counter-espionage, sabotage, assassination acts, signal intelligence, information security and communication networks.

Turkey condemns Islamophobic incident in Sweden

29 Aug 2020; AA: Turkey on Saturday vehemently condemned an Islamophobic incident in Sweden where a group of neo-fascist politicians burned the Muslim holy book Quran.

"We strongly condemn the hideous provocations by an Islamophobic and racist politician and his followers who came to Denmark from Sweden's Malmo city,” Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Israel hopes for Washington signing ceremony on UAE deal by mid-September

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel hopes to hold a signing ceremony in Washington for its normalisation deal with the United Arab Emirates by mid-September, a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet said on Sunday.

The date for such an event could be decided by senior aides to Netanyahu and to U.S. President Donald Trump when those officials fly to Abu Dhabi on Monday for talks, Israeli Regional Cooperation Minister Ofir Akunis told public broadcaster Kan.

UN: Israel demolishes 25 Palestine structures, displaces 32 people in 2 weeks

29 Aug 2020; MEMO: The Israeli occupation demolished 25 Palestinian structures in occupied territories and displaced 32 Palestinians in two weeks, the United Nations (UN) Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) revealed on Thursday.

The Israeli demolition, according to OCHA, was carried out under the pretext of lacking building permits.

UK condemned for ‘divisive’ ‘xenophobic’ anti-migrant video

29 Aug 2020; MEMO: The UK Home Office has come under sharp criticism over the release of a video attacking lawyers representing migrants. The short clip, posted on the Home Office Twitter account on Wednesday, has since been taken down following condemnation from legal bodies, politicians and academics, amidst the ongoing row over the British government’s policy towards migrants.
