Overnight Airstrike Against Houthi Military Convoy Kills 16 In Yemen’s Taiz

ADEN, Dec 5 (NNN-YPA) – A total of 16 people were killed, as a result of an aerial bombardment against Houthi military vehicles, in Yemen’s south-western province of Taiz, a military official said, yesterday.

“An airstrike was launched late on Friday night and struck a convoy of the Houthi rebel militia, in the countryside district of Maqbanah in Taiz, causing a huge explosion,” the source said.

The airstrike struck the Houthi military convoy when it was passing through an area held by a group of civilians, he added.

Yemen's Houthis say they attacked Saudi cities, Aramco facilities

21 Nov 2021; MEMO: Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi movement said on Saturday it had fired 14 drones at several Saudi Arabian cities, including at Saudi Aramco facilities in Jeddah, Reuters reported.

The Saudi-led coalition battling the Houthis in Yemen had on Friday said it destroyed three drones launched towards southern Saudi Arabia and a fourth over Yemen. It said the group "failed to launch two ballistic missiles" and they fell inside Yemen.

18 Nov 2021; MEMO: The former Yemeni regime of Ali Abdullah Saleh maintained secret contact with Israel, Rai Al Youm online newspaper reported an official saying yesterday.

According to the Deputy Director of Moral Guidance Department for Media Affairs in the Houthi government, Brigadier Abdullah Bin Amer, Israel widened its operation and activities in Yemen during Saleh's time as president.

Drone strike kills 3 allegedly linked to al-Qaida in Yemen: source

ADEN, Yemen, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Three people suspected of being members of the Yemen-based al-Qaida branch were killed by an airstrike in Yemen on Sunday, a military official told Xinhua.

"Missiles fired by a U.S. drone struck a traveling vehicle passing on road between the provinces of al-Bayda and Shabwa in the country's southern part," the local military source said on condition of anonymity.

The airstrike resulted in killing three people suspected of belonging to the Yemen-based al-Qaida branch and injuring two others including a woman at the scene, he said.

Government-allied forces leave Yemeni city, rebels re-enter

SANAA, Yemen (AP) — Forces loyal to Yemen’s internationally recognized government have withdrawn from the strategic port city of Hodeida, allowing the rebels to retake their positions, Yemeni officials and the U.N. said.

The Joint Forces, backed by the United Arab Emirates, said late Friday they redeployed troops from Hodeida because there was no need to stay in the city amid a U.N.-brokered cease-fire deal.

Yemen: Coalition forces say they have withdrawn from Hodeidah port

13 Nov 2021; MEMO: Yemeni forces under a Saudi-led coalition said on Friday they have withdrawn from around the main port of Hodeidah held by their foes, the Houthis, as the Red Sea city's governor announced the reopening of a main road linking it to the capital, Sana'a, Reuters reported.

The Giants Brigade southern forces supported by the United Arab Emirates, posted on Twitter that they had redeployed from around Hodeidah city in western Yemen, the main entry point for commercial imports and aid flows.

178 Bodies Of Houthi Rebels Pulled From Yemen’s Marib Frontline: Medics

SANAA, Nov 11 (NNN-YPA) – The Yemeni Houthi militia, pulled 178 bodies of their fighters, from a frontline in Marib Province and moved them to mortuaries in neighbouring Dhamar Province, yesterday, medics said.

“They were killed in the past 24 hours, when fighting with Yemeni government troops, backed by the Saudi-led coalition airstrikes, on the frontline of Al-Jubah district,” one of the medics in Dhamar said.

The Houthi group usually doesn’t disclose its casualties.

Yemen's Marib city battens down as Houthis advance through energy-rich province

ADEN, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Expecting a possible siege, pro-government forces in central Yemen are preparing to defend Marib city, their last northern stronghold, against advancing Houthi fighters bent on taking full control of one of Yemen's key energy-producing regions.

Should Marib governorate fall to the Houthis it would deal a blow to the military coalition led by Saudi Arabia that has been battling the Iran-aligned group for over six years and to United Nations-led peace efforts.

18 Houthis killed in Saudi-led airstrike in Yemen's Marib: military source

SANAA, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- At least 18 Houthi rebels were killed in an overnight airstrike by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen's central province of Marib, a Yemeni government military source said on Monday.

"The airstrike hit the rebels while they were gathering under a tree in the center of Al-Jubah district, killing the 18 on the spot," the source in Al-Jubah frontline told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported late on Sunday nine coalition airstrikes on the Houthi positions in Al-Jubah without providing further details.
