Senior Israel delegation visits Azerbaijan 2 days before clashes in Karabakh

21 September 2023; MEMO: Director General of Israeli Defence Ministry, Eyal Zamir, visited Azerbaijan two days before clashes erupted with Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, Israeli media reported on Wednesday.

Members of the Israeli delegation met with their Azeri counterparts, including Defence Minister, Zakir Hasanov, The Times of Israel said, pointing out that the visit came amid stepped-up Israeli arms supplies to Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan’s integration plan for Karabakh’s Armenians ready — presidential aide

BAKU, September 20. /TASS/: Azerbaijan has drafted a plan for the integration of Karabakh's Armenian population, presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev told a news briefing in Baku.

"The government agencies concerned have developed a comprehensive plan for the socio-economic integration of Karabakh's Armenians," Hajiyev emphasized.

He added that this integration was Azerbaijan's internal affair, but Baku was ready to study the humanitarian needs of the Armenian population in the region. "We are open to negotiations," Hajiyev noted.

First Global Media Forum begins in Azerbaijan

SHUSHA (Azerbaijan), Jul 21 (APP): President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inaugurated the first-ever Global Media Forum on “New Media in the Era of the 4th Industrial Revolution” here on Friday.

The media forum was organized on the occasion of the 148th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Press which brought together 150 participants from 49 countries, including 34 state news agencies – Associated Press of Pakistan among them – and 12 international and media organizations, besides 60 local media heads and representatives.

Peace treaty between Baku, Yerevan should reflect post-war realities — Azerbaijani leader

BAKU, June 23. /TASS/: Any peace agreement reached by Baku and Yerevan should take into account post-war realities, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said on Friday.

"This peace treaty must be signed on the basis of the norms and principles of international law. And this peace treaty should take into account post-war realities," the Azertac news agency quoted him as saying.

Erdogan arrived in Azerbaijan yesterday after his visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as part of his first foreign tour following his 28 May reelection.

Israel to deliver two satellites to Azerbaijan

25 Apr 2023; MEMO: Israel's defence industry enterprises will supply Azerbaijan with two satellites worth $120 million in total, Azerbaijan news outlet, Haqqin.az, reports.

This was reported by an Israeli journalist who accompanied Israel's Foreign Minister, Eli Cohen, during his visit to Azerbaijan on Tuesday and Wednesday, and published an article on its results, citing the FM's office and a source in Israel's security forces.
