12 April 2022; MEMO: Iran yesterday questioned the United States' will to reaching an agreement to restore the 2015 nuclear agreement, citing unresolved differences; after a year of talks.

"We really don't know if we'll get a deal or not, because the United States hasn't shown the necessary will to reach an agreement," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said.

"What remains are the decisions of Washington," he added.

"If we reach a good agreement, we will of course go to Vienna tomorrow," he said.

10 April 2022; MEMO: US President Joe Biden should lift some sanctions on Iran to show his goodwill towards reviving the international nuclear agreement with Tehran, Iran's foreign minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said on Sunday, Reuters reported.

Iran and the United States have engaged in indirect talks in Vienna over the past year to revive the 2015 nuclear agreement which then-US President Donald Trump left in 2018 and Iran subsequently violated by ramping up its nuclear programme.

TEHRAN, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said on Sunday that nuclear negotiations in Vienna must lead to guaranteed economic benefits for Iran, according to a statement posted on the parliament's website.

Iran's nuclear progress is a strong support for the Iranian people's economic benefits, and nuclear negotiations should lead to "guaranteed, sustainable and tangible economic benefits" for Iranian people, the statement quoted Qalibaf as saying during the parliament's open session.

10 April 2022; MEMO: Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi said Saturday his county has not left the Vienna talks and will not end its participation, asserting that his government seeks to secure the rights of the Iranian people through the deal, Anadolu Agency reported.

Speaking at an event to mark Iran's Nuclear Technology Day, Raisi said his government follows the strategy outlined by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on the nuclear program.

09 April 2022; MEMO: An Iranian newspaper reported that Iranian funds frozen in South Korea would be released in exchange for three US citizens of Iranian origin.

On Friday, Entekhab newspaper reported: "Three dual-citizen spies will be released in exchange for Iran regaining its frozen funds in Korea, amounting to $7 billion."

06 April 2022; MEMO: Iran has handed over documents related to outstanding issues to the UN nuclear watchdog, Iranian nuclear chief, Mohammad Eslami, said on Wednesday, as Tehran demands closure of the Agency's investigation into uranium particles found at three undeclared sites, Reuters reports.

TEHRAN, Apr 5 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran is ready to resume talks with Saudi Arabia, to solve differences, the Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman announced, yesterday.

“We are ready for the continuation of talks and for the settlement of differences. We have submitted our views in written form to the Saudi side, and they should express their views,” Saeed Khatibzadeh said, in his weekly press briefing.

Repeating Iran’s welcome of a cease-fire in Yemen, he said, this “should be completed with the beginning of intra-Yemeni dialogue and we should wait for the results.”

TEHRAN, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said on Sunday that the United States has by no means any compassion toward Muslim nations in the region, according to the president's official website.

Making the remarks in a phone conversation with his Iraqi counterpart Barham Salih, Raisi said it has become evident that the external power only seeks its own interests and hegemonic goals.
