Iran executes 2 convicted of killing 4 police officers

10 Nov 2022; MEMO: Iran has executed two men convicted of killing four policemen in 2016 in the province of Sistan-Baluchestan.

The judiciary's Mizan Online website said the two men, Rashid Baluch and Eshaq Askani, were put to death on Tuesday after being convicted of killing four police officers in 2016.

The men were also found guilty of wounding several police officers in 2016, the site added.

Iran army issues warning to 'rioters'

9 Nov 2022; MEMO: Iran's Army Ground Forces Commander said, on Wednesday, that "rioters" would have no place in the Islamic Republic if the country's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, ordered a tougher crackdown on nationwide protests, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported, Reuters reports.

"… should he decide to deal with them, rioters will no longer have a place in the country," Brigadier General, Kiumars Heydari said.

Iran unveils upgraded Bavar-373 missile system

TEHRAN, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- Iran on Sunday unveiled an upgraded version of the Bavar-373 (Belief-373) surface-to-air missile system with a range of more than 300 km, official news agency IRNA reported.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Iranian Defense Minister Mohammadreza Ashtiani, during which the system was successfully tested by launching a long-range Sayyad B4 (Hunter B4) missile.

Iran acknowledges drone shipments to Russia before Ukraine war

Nov 5 (Reuters) - Iran acknowledged for the first time on Saturday that it had supplied Moscow with drones but said they were sent before the war in Ukraine, where Russia has used drones to target power stations and civilian infrastructure.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian said a "small number" of drones had been supplied to Russia a few months before Moscow's forces invaded Ukraine on Feb. 24.

In Iran's most detailed response to date on the drones, Amirabdollahian denied Tehran was continuing to supply drones to Moscow.

Iranian FM says U.S. should prove "real will" in nuclear negotiations

TEHRAN, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Saturday called on the United States to prove its "real will" in the negotiations aimed at the revival of 2015 Iranian nuclear deal, according to the Foreign Ministry's website.

The United States should prove that it would not "violate" its obligations by imposing sanctions, Amir-Abdollahian said at the first meeting of the national coordinators of the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations, which kicked off in the Iranian capital Tehran on Saturday.

04 Nov 2022; MEMO: Iran's President, Ebrahim Raisi, on Friday said the country was "freed 43 years ago" and will not be a "milking cow" of Western powers in response to US President Joe Biden's vow to "free" Iran, Anadolu News Agency reports.

Speaking at a public rally in Tehran to mark the 43rd anniversary of the siege of the US embassy in the Iranian capital, Raisi said Biden's remarks were "because of his distraction".

Iran Arrested “U.S.-Saudi-Sponsored” Individuals Linked With Recent Unrest

TEHRAN, Nov 3 (NNN-TASNIM) – Iran has arrested three individuals, linked with the recent unrest in the country, who were sponsored by “the United States and Saudi Arabia.”

The three persons were actively involved in the recent “riots” in Iran, in the guise of citizen journalists.

The source said, the three arrestees “cooperated with American institution, Tavana Tech and Saudi-sponsored television, Iran International.”
