Tehran, Jul 14 (AP-PTI) Iran's outgoing president on Wednesday warned his country could enrich uranium at weapons-grade levels of 90% if it chose, though it still wanted to save its tattered nuclear deal with world powers.

President Hassan Rouhani's comments, carried by the state-run IRNA news agency, came as he also criticised Iran's wider theocracy for not allowing his government to reach a deal soon to restore the 2015 atomic accord.

TEHRAN, Jul 11 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran’s transportation ministry confirmed yesterday, a cyberattack against its computer systems, which caused the portal page of the ministry and its affiliated pages to go offline.

“The issue is under investigation by technical experts of the ministry,” the Ministry of Road and Urban Development was quoted by Iranian news network Press TV, as saying.

Tehran, IRNA – The Managing Director of Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) said that upon the completion of the installation project of the giant offshore rigs, drilling and repairing of oil wells has started in the Forouzan joint oilfield with the purpose of increasing oil extraction.

Alireza Salmanzadeh said on Sunday that installation of the rig this oilfield, ddrilling and repairing 26 oil wells, and an increase of production to 23,000 barrels. 

10 July 2021; MEMO: An explosion on Friday near the state broadcasting company headquarters has rocked the Iranian capital of Tehran.

Local media, including Fars News Agency, reported that the explosion occurred north of Tehran, near Mellat Park adjacent to the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).

The sources added that, until 10:46 GMT, it was not yet clear if the blast resulted from an accident or a terrorist attack.

Tehran, Jul 10 (AP-PTI) Iran's railroad system came under cyberattack on Friday, a semi-official news agency reported, with hackers posting fake messages about train delays or cancellations on display boards at stations across the country.

The hackers posted messages such as long delayed because of cyberattack" or canceled" on the boards. They also urged passengers to call for information, listing the phone number of the office of the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

TEHRAN, July 6 (Xinhua) -- Iran's position on the Iran nuclear deal and the removal of sanctions will not change with the shift of government, the Iranian spokesman for the foreign ministry said Tuesday.

"The government of (President-elect Ebrahim) Raisi will also be committed to it (potential agreement) ... because adherence to the commitments and promises is always a principle for the Islamic republic," Saeed Khatibzadeh said during his weekly press briefing.

04 July 2021; MEMO: Iran may face a fifth wave of COVID-19 infections as the highly contagious Delta variant of the coronavirus spreads through the Middle East's worst-hit country, President Hassan Rouhani warned on Saturday, reports Reuters.

"There are concerns that the whole country may enter a fifth wave if enough care is not taken in following health protocols. Today, reports are that just 69% of the people are observing the precautions," Rouhani said in remarks broadcast on state TV.

04 July 2021; MEMO: Iran denied on Saturday US accusations that Tehran supported attacks on US forces in Iraq and Syria, and condemned US airstrikes on Iranian-backed militants there, state media reported, says Reuters.

On Tuesday, the United States told the UN Security Council that it targeted Iran-backed militia in Syria and Iraq with airstrikes to deter the militants and Tehran from conducting or supporting further attacks on US personnel or facilities.

TEHRAN, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Iranian President Hassan Rouhani criticized on Saturday the lack of apology from the U.S. government for more than three decades for downing an Iranian airliner in 1988, official news agency IRNA reported.

"The U.S. government has to know that it committed a very big crime in the Gulf in 1988," Rouhani said in a meeting.

U.S. apologies, compensation, and an explanation about the reason why awards were given to "the killers and perpetrators of this great crime" are still expected, Rouhani noted.

03 July 2021; MEMO: The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) reported on Saturday that the Bushehr Nuclear Power plant had resumed activities after being shut down two weeks ago due to repairs.
