DAMASCUS, Feb 23 (NNN-SANA) – As many as 2,700 Turkish military vehicles have been sent into Syria, over the past 19 days, as part of the Turkish tactic, to send military equipment to Idlib province, in northwestern Syria and the northern province of Aleppo.

A Turkish convoy of 80 vehicles entered Idlib on Saturday alone, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Additionally, over 7,400 Turkish soldiers have been deployed in Idlib and Aleppo, in the same period, said the Observatory.

19 Feb 2020; MEMO: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights revealed on Tuesday that Russian jet fighters have carried out more than 120 air strikes against Aleppo in just one week, Egypt’s Youm 7 newspaper has reported.

The rights group also said that Syrian regime forces have widened their operations in the rural areas surrounding the city. The regime forces, the group explained, fired rockets towards several areas targeted by the Russian jets.

After its liberation in 2016, the provincial capital of Aleppo remained subject to mortar shelling by the rebels in the western and northwestern countryside of Aleppo, which claimed the lives of many people.

DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) — Syrian President Bashar Assad congratulated his forces Monday for recent gains in northwestern Syria that led to his troops consolidating control over Aleppo province, pledging to press ahead with a military campaign to achieve complete victory “sooner or later.”

Assad, who rarely appears in public, said in a televised address that the onetime economic hub of Aleppo, the provincial capital, will “return stronger than it was before.”

DAMASCUS, Feb 17 (NNN-SANA) – Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, on Sunday, highlighted his administration’s determination, to retake all Syrian areas from the rebels.

Countries hostile to Syria are still trying to protect “terrorists,” who take civilians as hostages and human shields, which cannot be allowed to continue, at the expense of the life, security and stability of the citizens, Assad said, during his meeting with Iranian Parliament Speaker, Ali Larijani.

DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) — Syrian troops have made significant advances against the last rebel held enclaves in the country’s northwest, state media said on Sunday, consolidating the government’s hold over the key Aleppo province.

The Syrian government advance also appeared to put the provincial capital of Aleppo out of the firing range of opposition groups for the first time in years, another sign of Syrian President Bashar Assad’s growing control of the area.

DAMASCUS, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Turkish forces have brought in 2,000 military vehicles into northern Syria over the past 12 days, a war monitor reported on Saturday.

The Turkish army has been bringing the military reinforcement into areas controlled by the Turkey-backed rebels in the countryside of Idlib and Aleppo provinces in northern Syria, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The Britain-based watchdog group said that around 6,500 Turkish soldiers were deployed in parts of Idlib and Aleppo at the same time.

DAMASCUS, Feb 15 (NNN-SANA) – The strategic highway, linking Syrian capital Damascus in the south with Aleppo province in the north, has become fully secure, it was reported on Friday.

The highway has become secure after the Syrian army recaptured all areas surrounding the road.

The road fell under government control on Feb 11, but the official announcement came on Friday, after the army secured more rebel-held areas near the road, in both Idlib and Aleppo provinces, in northern Syria.
