India: Weather turns unbearable with humid conditions in Kanpur

Kanpur: There is a possibility of rain with strong winds in the coming days. Humidity and high temperature have worsened the situation. Cloudy and very warm conditions prevail.

Though the weather forecast suggests a thunderstorm in one or two spots. The real feel of temperature on Monday indicates warm conditions.

According to weather experts, there will occur weather changes. It was also hinted that for a few days now, the humidity will continue to trouble the common people.

Kanpur: Sticky weather once again disturbs the Jajmauites. The real feel of the mercury stays at 43 degrees Celsius on Tuesday afternoon. Intervals of clouds and sunshine pervade the day's sky. 

People find it relatively hard to move in the space the goat markets are arranged. In the absence of the shadow of the trees, they do not wait for long to buy the sacrificial goat.

At a makeshift market, the sellers were more than the buyers. The sellers are not reducing the price at any moment. There remains one more day for the festival.

India: Humidity & heat appear to have vanished due to rains in Kanpur

Kanpur: The drizzling that started on June 21 continues on Thursday. The late-night thunder even shuddered the residents. The morning showers proceeded until noon.

The clouds are still awaiting to precipitate. The weather has turned pleasant due to this intermittent rain.

There was a respite from the humidity with a drop of about nine degrees in the temperature.

A total of 15 mm of rain was recorded on Wednesday, as reported.

The maximum temperature settled at 27 degrees Celsius, down from 35.8 degrees a day earlier.

India: Drizzling brings relief to Jajmau residents in Kanpur

Kanpur: Kanpur's Jajmau area remains wet till the afternoon as the ongoing month's first drizzling continued.

With 94% of the cloud cover, the sky presents a view of whitish patches.

With the slight rains, the temperature has gone down and the residents felt relief from the continued drizzles.

There was blowing cold air since the morning. Even the afternoon did not present unbearable conditions due to the drizzle.

India: 86 pc households in Noida, 94 pc in UP experiencing daily power outages daily

Noida, Jun 18 (PTI) Eighty-six per cent of the households in Noida and 94 per cent in Uttar Pradesh have experienced daily power outages in the ongoing month of June, according to a survey by a social media platform.

The findings are based on responses from over 14,000 respondents located in 56 of the 75 districts of the state, the survey conducted by LocalCircles said.

According to the survey, 94 per cent of households in Uttar Pradesh surveyed say they have been facing power outages daily in June.

India: Over 50 patients admitted in UP's Ballia district hospital die in 3 days

Ballia (UP), Jun 18 (PTI) Fifty-four people admitted at a district hospital in this Uttar Pradesh district have died in the last three days, health officials said on Sunday.

Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Jayant Kumar said two people have died due to heat stroke in Ballia district till Sunday.

India: Mayor expresses her ire at trees cutting by Metro officials

Kanpur: Attending a meeting with the metro officials here lately, the city Mayor Pramila Pandey got angry with the working of metro officials.

She instructed to switch off ceiling fans and ACs in the meeting hall and kept them sitting for one hour without the cooling air.

She wanted to know the exact reason for cutting all the trees.

Questioning about the 118 trees cut for the Metro project she asked them to explain.

Not only this but people were distressed by the logs put outside their homes.  

India: UP 'conversion' case: Maha cops get transit remand to take prime accused to Ghaziabad

Thane, Jun 12 (PTI) Maharashtra's Thane police was on Monday granted transit remand by a local court to take Shahnawaz Khan, the prime accused in an Uttar Pradesh case allegedly involving religious conversion of youngsters through an online gaming app, to Ghaziabad, an official said.

Khan, who hails from Mumbra township here, was arrested from a relative's place in Alibag in Raigad district on Sunday, the official said.

"He is being taken to Ghaziabad from Thane by road," the police official said.

India: Kanpur's afternoon temperature gives real feel of 45°C

Kanpur: As many as 19 districts of the state have been reeling under severe hot situations. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for the heatwave in 19 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Thursday's temperature in Jhansi stood at the hottest city in UP with 45.1 degrees. At the same time, the temperature of Prayagraj was recorded at 44.1 degrees.

The real feel of Friday's afternoon temperature remains at 45°Celsius here, as reported.

India: Flight begins with new airport Terminal in Kanpur

Kanpur: The first flight began with as many as 140 passengers from the newly built terminal here.

The airport's new terminal building opened for routine flight operations on Wednesday.

A passenger flight from Bengaluru was the first one to operate from the new terminal building.

The flight was given a ceremonious water salute on its landing at the Kanpur Airport.

The passengers were greeted with Jai Ho slogans on their arrival at the terminal building.

The flight took off reportedly for Bengaluru with approximately 140 people
