DUBAI, Jan 24 (NNN-WAM) – Lt Gen Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), met with Teo Chee Hen, Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security of the Republic of Singapore.

The Singaporean official is currently visiting the UAE, to take part in his country’s celebrations of the National Day, at Expo 2020 Dubai.

DUBAI, Jan 24 (Reuters) - The United Arab Emirates, the tourism and commercial hub of the Gulf region, on Monday said it had foiled a second missile attack by Yemen's Iranian-aligned Houthi movement group, which last week hit a fuel depot in Abu Dhabi, killing three people.

The Houthis, battling a Saudi-led coalition that includes the UAE, have said they aim to punish the UAE for backing militias that are blocking their attempts to capture oil-producing regions in Yemen.

The remarks by Ambassador Yousef Al-Otaiba marked an official acknowledgement that missiles — and not just drones — were used in Monday’s attack, claimed by the Iran-backed Houthis.

19 Jan 2022; MEMO: Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett condemned on Tuesday the Houthi attack on Abu Dhabi that took place on Monday and offered "security and intelligence" support.

In a letter to Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, Bennett stated that the proposed Israeli "security and intelligence support" aimed to protect the emirate against future attacks.

Bennett also said that he had "ordered the Israeli security establishment to provide their counterparts in the UAE with any assistance."
