50 Palestinians thrown out of Israeli bus after 3 Jewish settlers refused to travel with non-Jews

10 August 2022; MEMO: Dozens of Palestinians were thrown out of a bus in Tel Aviv after three Jewish passengers got on and refused to travel with non-Jews on board. The incident, which is the latest of many racist practices exposing the crime of apartheid committed by Israel, happened on Thursday last week on a number 288 bus, which travels from the Israeli capital to the Jewish-only illegal settlement in occupied West Bank.

9m migrants, refugees from 130 countries live in Egypt: IOM

10 August 2022; MEMO: The International Organisation for Migration has said that there are more than nine  million migrants and refugees from 130 countries currently living in Egypt.

This figure includes the four main communities – four million Sudanese, 1.5 million Syrians, one million Yemenis and one million Libyans.

Jewish Agency ready to close its doors in Russia, operate online

11 August 2022; MEMO: The Jewish Agency might end its physical presence in Russia and start working online and via telephone, a senior official was reported by Israeli media saying yesterday.

A meeting took place at the agency's headquarters in Jerusalem yesterday to discuss how to move the operation from Russia to Israel.

"We are examining all the options for a rainy day," the Times of Israel reported a Jewish Agency official saying, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Palestine: Egyptian delegation to visit Tel Aviv to follow up Gaza ceasefire terms

11 August 2022; MEMO: A delegation of Egypt's security officials is to visit Tel Aviv and the Gaza Strip to follow up the implementation of the ceasefire deal reached between Israel and Palestinian Islamic Jihad last weekend, Al-Quds Al-Araby reported on Wednesday.

According to local sources, Egypt has told the Palestinians that the delegation is planning to visit Israel to follow up on the ceasefire deal next week. In Gaza, its members will meet Hamas and Islamic Jihad officials.

Israel court orders demolition of EU-funded school in West Bank

11 August 2022; MEMO: The Israeli District Court in Jerusalem yesterday ordered the immediate demolition of a European-funded school in Ein Samiya community near Ramallah, Wafa news agency reported.

Ein Samiya school was inaugurated in mid-January in coordination with the Palestinian Ministry of Education afterhaving been built with European funds.

The court gave the petitioners two options: either to carry out the demolition themselves, or to pay for the Israeli occupation's bulldozers to demolish it.

Iranians Rally In Support Of Palestine, Against Israeli Bombing On Gaza

TEHRAN, Aug 10 (NNN-IRNA) – Thousands of people rallied in Iran’s capital, Tehran, yesterday, in support of Palestine and against recent Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, state-owned Press TV reported.

Iranians gathered near the Palestinian embassy in Tehran, chanting slogans against the United States and Israel, and waving placards and flags supporting Palestine, the report said.

Egypt, Qatar Discussed Regional Developments, Highlighted Concerted Arab Efforts

CAIRO, Aug 10 (NNN-MENA) – Egyptian President, Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, and Qatari Emir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, discussed yesterday, latest regional developments, highlighting concerted Arab efforts, to address regional challenges, the Egyptian presidency said in a statement.

In their phone conversation, the Qatari Emir expressed appreciation for Egypt’s latest success, in mediating a cease-fire between the Palestinians and Israelis in the Gaza Strip, calling it, part of the country’s efforts to strengthen regional peace and security, according to the statement.
