11 Feb 2019; AFP: Riyadh does not know the location of dissident Jamal Khashoggi's body, despite having detained the Saudi team that murdered him, a high-ranking foreign affairs official in the kingdom said in an interview broadcast Sunday.

The dissident journalist was dismembered after his murder October 2 in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul but his remains have yet to be found.

Kohima, Feb 11; PTI/GANASHAKTI: Normal life was affected in Nagaland on Monday during a 10-hour bandh called by civil society organisations in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

Schools and markets remained closed, vehicles were off the roads and people stayed indoors during the bandh which began at 6 AM.

The BJP is a constituent of the National Democratic Peoples Party-led Peoples Democratic Alliance (PDA) government in the state.

Srinagar, Feb 10: Five Kashmiri seperatists were killed on Sunday in an encounter with Indian security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, an Indian Army official said.

He said five seperatist were killed in a gunbattle with Indian security forces. The identity and group affiliation of the seperatist are being ascertained.

Weapons and war-like stores have been recovered from the battle site, the official added.

He said the law enforcing agencies were trying to restore order in the area.

JERUSALEM, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) - Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that some of the money transferred by Israel to the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) will be frozen.

Israel collects customs duties on goods exported to the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip via Israeli ports and then transfers the funds to the PNA. The levies amount to some 127 million U.S. dollars per month.

RAMALLAH, 10 Feb 2019; AA: Palestinian group Fatah on Sunday decried calls by Israeli settlers for the assassination of President Mahmoud Abbas.

"The Israeli incitement is the result of the policy of hatred practiced by the Israeli government against the Palestinians," Fatah spokesman Osama al-Qawasmi said in a statement.

10 Feb 2019; DW: A man spouting racist insults allegedly confronted two Syrian teenagers in northeastern Berlin and punched them in the face, authorities said Saturday.

He hit the girls, aged 15 and 16, "with his fist several times ... before fleeing into a shopping arcade," police alleged in a statement. Both girls were taken to hospital for treatment.

10 Feb 2019; DW: Turkey's foreign ministry has called on China to end the mass detention of its Muslim Uighur minority and shut down a network of "concentration camps" in the country's northwest.

"The policy of systematic assimilation against the Uighur Turks carried out by the authorities of China is a great shame for humanity," foreign ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy said in a statement on Saturday.

Hyderabad, Feb 9 (PTI) AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi Saturday took exception to Yoga guru Baba Ramdev's comments that Lord Ram was the ancestor not only of Hindus, but also of Muslims.

"We are not against anyone's belief. But, it is wrong to thrust your belief on others. Such things are said every time by the Sangh Parivar and RSS. We just want to say that we, Muslims in India, we have become Muslims on our own...," he told reporters here.

 As a result, one poor couple had to sell their newly born child to a well-to-do childless family living in the city areas. The poor labourer’s wife took this strong decision with the heavy heart and gulped down all the mother’s emotions.
