ISLAMABAD, Oct 28 (APP): Pakistan on Wednesday categorically rejected the Indian government’s illegal amendments in land ownership laws in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) promulgated under ‘J-K Re-organisation (Adaptation of Central Laws) Third Order, 2020’.

“The highly condemnable Indian action is yet another clear violation of the UN Security Council resolutions, bilateral agreements between Pakistan and India, and international law,” the Foreign Office said in a statement.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 27 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday said Pakistan was ready to hold peace talks with India provided the latter ended military siege in Jammu and Kashmir and agreed for a plebiscite in the Valley as per the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.

“To India, I say that we are ready, but you have to end military siege in Kashmir and give Kashmiris their right to self-determination,” the prime minister said in his special televised video message in connection with Kashmir Black Day.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — A powerful bomb blast ripped through an Islamic seminary on the outskirts of the northwest Pakistani city of Peshawar on Tuesday morning, killing at least seven students and wounding 112 others, police and a hospital spokesman said.

The bombing happened as a prominent religious scholar during a special class was delivering a lecture about the teachings of Islam at the main hall of the Jamia Zubairia madrassa, said police officer Waqar Azim. He said initial investigations suggest the bomb went off minutes after someone left a bag at the madrassa.

Islamabad, Oct 23 (PTI) Pakistan's anti-corruption body has approved a new case against deposed premier Nawaz Sharif, days after Prime Minister Imran Khan urged the authorities to dispose of major graft cases quickly.

Sharif, the 70-year-old supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) who was ousted from power in 2017 by the Supreme Court on corruption charges, is currently in London for medical treatment.

ISLAMABAD, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and 15 others injured in an explosion inside a four-storey building in Pakistan's southern port city of Karachi on Wednesday morning, local media said.

The explosion happened on the first floor of the building located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of the city, and the powerful blast also damaged the ground floor, Dawn News reported.

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - Pakistan has decided to lift a ban on popular social media app TikTok after the company vowed to block all accounts involved in spreading “obscenity and immorality”, the country’s telecom authority said in a tweet on Monday.

The move comes some 10 days after Pakistan blocked TikTok for failing to filter out “immoral and indecent” content.

ISLAMABAD, Oct 17 (NNN-APP) – Police in northwest Pakistan, said that, unidentified armed men torched military vehicles, that were being sent to NATO troops, in neighbouring Afghanistan.

Police in Khyber district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, said that, unidentified men burnt four NATO military vehicles, loaded on two trailers.

No one was hurt in the incident as the attackers asked the drivers to leave the area, police and witnesses said.

The U.S. and NATO allies have been using Pakistan as a main supply route for thousands of their troops.
