Pakistan: PM demands full SC commission to investigate allegations of Imran Khan

LAHORE, Nov 5 (APP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Saturday appealed to the Chief Justice Supreme Court to establish a full apex court commission to investigate the incident of attack on Imran Khan in Wazirabad and the ensuing allegations levelled by the chairman of Pakistan Tehrik i Insaf (PTI).

Addressing a press conference here, he said commission should probe the allegations of Imran Khan against him, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah and a high-ranking army officer.

80 percent of India's Delhi families have members suffering from air pollution ailments: survey

NEW DELHI, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 80 percent of families living in India's Delhi and surrounding areas have someone suffering from air pollution related ailments, a new survey has found.

The findings assume significance in the wake of air pollution touching alarming levels over the past few days, with the air quality index (AQI) crossing into the "severe" category.

Lucknow, Nov 4 (PTI) The Allahabad High Court on Friday expressed surprise that though the ground reality related to dengue is very pitiable in the city, everything is being said to be fine in government records.

The Lucknow bench of the high court said that if it had its own agency, it would have definitely cross checked the government data, which stressed that the situation is under control and there is no lack of beds and other facilities in the government hospitals to check vector borne diseases in the capital.

India: IndiGo airline's Q2 loss widens to Rs 1,583.34 cr on higher expenses

New Delhi, Nov 4 (PTI) InterGlobe Aviation, the parent of the country's largest airline IndiGo, on Friday reported a widening of loss to Rs 1,583.34 crore for the September quarter due to higher fuel costs and foreign exchange loss.

The airline, also the world's seventh largest in terms of daily departures, reported a loss of Rs 381.8 crore, excluding the foreign exchange loss of Rs 1,201.5 crore, in the latest quarter under review.

India: BJP youth wing leader murder; 3 more arrested in Karnataka

New Delhi, Nov 5 (PTI) The NIA arrested three more alleged conspirators behind the murder of BJP youth wing leader Praveen Nettaru during searches at multiple locations in Karnataka on Saturday, an official spokesperson said.

The National Investigation Agency carried out the searches at five locations in Dakshina Kannada, Hubli and Mysuru and arrested K Mahammad Iqbal, K Ismail Shafi and Ibrahim Sha, the spokesperson said.

India: Bharat Jodo Yatra (Unite India Journey) enters 10th day in Telangana

Hyderabad, Nov 5 (PTI) AICC leader Rahul Gandhi will address a massive public meeting on November 7 at Jukkal before entering Maharashtra as Bharat Jodo Yatra is set to finish the Telangana leg on the same day, party sources said.

Senior Congress leaders from the state, including Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Revanth Reddy, paid a visit to the venue on Friday. The Telangana leg of the foot march began on October 24 and will end on November 7 before entering Maharashtra.

India: Vehicles stuck on Ganga bridge up to Rishi Nagar Turn in Shuklaganj

Kanpur: There was a heavy jam on the Ganga river bridge connecting Unnao and vehicles were stuck till Rishi Nagar towards Shuklaganj.

The daily commuters coming from Shuklaganj to Kanpur got late due to the jam. Ganga Ghat Outpost police kept trying to clear the jam and providing space to the vehicles.

In Unnao's Ganga Ghat area, the road narrowed at Balu Ghat Turn and heavy traffic led to a one kilometer long jam from New Gangapul to Rishinagar Turn on Saturday morning.
