RAMALLAH, Aug 2 (NNN-WAFA) – The Palestinian Authority (PA), yesterday said, Israel’s daily attacks against the Palestinians, undermine the opportunity to implement the two-state solution.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said in a press statement that, “the Israeli forces and settlers, daily, attack the Palestinians, their property and their sanctities, which dominate the daily scene of the lives of the Palestinians.”

Massive fire erupts in industrial park in W. Iran

TEHRAN, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- A huge fire broke out on Wednesday morning in an industrial park in a county in the western Iranian province of Lorestan, the semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported.

The massive blaze started at 10:45 a.m. local time (0715 GMT) in an oil production factory in Dorud Industrial Park, Tasnim quoted Ayat Jamali Fooladvand, the head of Dorud County's fire department, as saying.

Firefighters with 16 fire engines have been trying to contain the "very huge" fire while the investigation into the cause of the incident is underway, he added.

Russia ready to return to grain deal if it is performed in full — Kremlin

Poland rushes troops to border, Belarus denies helicopter violation

WARSAW, Aug 1 (Reuters) - Poland said on Tuesday it was rushing troops to its eastern border after accusing Belarus, Russia's closest ally, of violating its airspace with military helicopters.

The Belarusian military denied any such violation and accused NATO member Poland, one of Ukraine's most fervent backers in its conflict with Russia, of making up the accusation to justify a buildup of its troops.

Japan's average gas price climbs to 15-year high

TOKYO, Aug. 2 (Xinhua) -- Japan's average retail gasoline price has climbed to its highest level in 15 years, official data showed Wednesday, as the government's subsidy to prevent price hikes has been progressively reduced.

As of Monday, The average price for regular gasoline stood at 176.70 yen (1.24 U.S. dollars) per liter, advancing 1.90 yen from July 24 and hitting its highest level since August 2008, according to the country's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Malaysia: Singapore Elects New Parliament Speaker

Singapore Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong, nominated Seah as the speaker on Jul 21, to replace Tan Chuan-Jin, who resigned on Jul 17.
