Pak-Turkey discusses bilateral cooperation in education, vocational training

ISLAMABAD, Sep 30 (APP): The Ambassador of Turkey in Pakistan Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul called on Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood and discussed the ways for enhancing the already existing bilateral cooperation in education and vocational training.

Education minister, on next week, is visiting Turkey to have meetings with Turkish ministers of education, culture and tourism to share experiences with them, says a press release here on Monday.

Indian deputy HC summoned at FO to protest ceasefire violations

ISLAMABAD, Sep 30 (APP): Director General South Asian and SAARC Dr Mohammad Faisal on Monday summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia and condemned the unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian occupation forces along the Line of Control (LoC) on September 28 and 29.

Due to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing by Indian Army in Nikial and Rakhchikri Sectors of LoC, Salamat Bibi, 60, and Zeeshan Ayub, 13, lost their lives. Also, a woman in Nikial Sector and two other civilians including another woman in Rakhchikri Sector sustained serious injuries.

PM vows to stand for oppressed Kashmiris’ rights: PM

Pakistan opens major border crossings for Afghans to take part in polls

Islamabad, Sep 28 (PTI) Pakistan opened all major border crossing terminals on Saturday for the Afghan citizens to allow them to cast their vote in the key presidential election.

Voting is under way in Afghanistan's presidential election, amid heavy security and threats from insurgents.

About 9.6 million Afghans are registered to vote in key presidential poll which marks the culmination of a bloody election campaign.

Anti-India march in IOK

ISLAMABAD, Sep 28 (APP): People marched in Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh, against Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and demanded of the Indian government to end continued curfew in the territory.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the members of a group Kashmir Solidarity Council Bangladesh (KSCB) gathered in Maghbazar, neighborhood of the city, and took out a procession.

UN to send peace keeping forces in Kashmir valley to stop humanitarian crises: Mishal Malik

ISLAMABAD, Sep 27 (APP): Mishal Malik, wife of Kashmiri freedom movement leader, Yasin Malik Friday asked United Nation (UN) to play its pro active role and must take appropriate measures to stop humanitarian crises emerging in Indian Occupied Kashmir after Hitler Modi’s move of scraping special status of Kashmir.

Talking to private news channel , she demanded the international community and UN to send fact finding mission and peace keeping forces in the Held valley to stop the genocide that Indian forces are committing there.

Brother gets life for 'honour killing' of Pakistan social media star

27 September 2019; AFP: The brother of Pakistani social media star Qandeel Baloch was on Friday sentenced to life in prison for her murder -- the patriarchal country's highest-profile "honour killing".

Baloch, 26, who shot to fame for her risque selfies -- tame by Western standards, but considered provocative in deeply misogynistic Pakistan -- was strangled in July 2016.

Omar extends Pakistan’s support to idea of making hydrogen energy affordable fuel

ISLAMABAD, Sep 25 (APP): Minister for Energy Omar Khan Wednesday extended Pakistan’s support to the efforts and innovative idea of making hydrogen energy as an affordable and reliable source of fuel supplies.

In his address at the 2nd Hydrogen Energy Ministerial Conference held in Tokyo, he emphasized that the price of Hydrogen Energy supplies needed to be reduced as compared to conventional fuels to make it a fuel of choice, said a press release issued here.
