NATO in no hurry to decide who will represent alliance in Moscow - Russian diplomat

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/: NATO countries are in no hurry to decide who will represent the alliance in Moscow, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told TASS on Saturday.

"Belgium's embassy in Moscow used to deal with these matters but it doesn't mean anything, they can decide differently. Since there are no relations and no dialogue, they seem to be in no hurry. We are okay with that, we don't care about not being aware of it. Once they make up their mind, we will hear from them," he said.

Russia records all-time daily high of 41,335 coronavirus cases

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/: Russia recorded 41,335 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, the highest daily number since the onset of the pandemic, the anti-coronavirus crisis center said on Saturday. The total number of cases has reached 8,755,930.

According to data from the crisis center, Russia's coronavirus growth rate was 0.47%. The country's new daily coronavirus cases exceed 40,000 for the fourth day in a row.

Russian-US strategic stability consultations may take place in Jan 2022 - Russian diplomat

MOSCOW, November 6. /TASS/: The next round of Russian-US consultations on strategic stability may take place in January 2022, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told TASS on Saturday.

"There is no clear schedule, it may happen early next year, in January," he said.

Russia not expecting progress at talks with U.S. on visas, diplomats -agencies

"Another alarming moment is the recurrent missile strikes by Israel. They often target even the suburbs of Damascus, and there have been cases when explosions happened directly in the capital’s residential districts. Israeli raids also pose a direct threat to civilian air traffic in the sky over Syria," he said.

Number of deaths due to coronavirus in Russia rises by 1,195 per day

MOSCOW, November 4. /TASS/: The number of deaths due to coronavirus in Russia increased by 1,195 per day against 1,189 a day earlier to a total of 243,255, the federal operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus told reporters on Thursday.

In absolute terms, this was the highest increase since the beginning of the pandemic, the previous maximum was seen on Wednesday. Conditional mortality (the final can be determined after the end of the pandemic) remained at the level of 2.8%, the headquarters said.

Gas pumping to Germany via Yamal - Europe resumes after 5 days of shutdown

MOSCOW, November 4. /TASS/: Direct gas supplies via the Yamal-Europe pipeline to Germany resumed on Thursday afternoon after five days of shutdown and reverse in the opposite direction, according to the information of the European gas transmission operator Gascade.

Thus, the volume of supplies in the first hour after the pumping was resumed reached 186,600 cubic meters.

Meanwhile, gas prices in Europe fell by almost 4% to $877 per 1,000 cubic meters, according to the ICE exchange.
