Russia’s Federal Tourism Agency denies mass cancelation of hotel reservations in Crimea

MOSCOW, May 7. /TASS/: Russia’s Federal Agency for Tourism has denied reports about the mass cancellation of hotel reservations in Crimea for the May festive period, the peninsula remains in the top resorts among Russians for early May, and reservations in Crimea remains at last year’ level, the agency told TASS on Saturday.

"For the May festive period, the peninsula remains one of the top resort destinations among Russians. According to Rostourism (Federal Agency for Tourism - TASS) and the region, hotel occupancy reached at least 50% for the May festive period, while the four-and five-star hotels see about 75% [occupancy]. The occupancy rate of spa resorts is 79% on average. In general, reservations in Crimea for May-June are the same as last year, which saw a record flow of tourists," the statement says.
