India: Govindpuri-Fazalganj road turns worse due to digging

Kanpur: No road is devoid of small or large pits. If the rains occur, the road turns out dangerous due to trenches. The situation turns worse if the deep digging of the road continues and authorities concerned show a little less care in repairing. If the very possibility of restoring the road remains vague, the road users are seen cursing their fate.

These days the digging work on Govindpuri- Fazalganj road continues for laying down the sewer line under the Amrit Yojna.

Just down the slope of Govindpuri Pul on the Fazalganj Depot side, the road has entirely turned into pits. Patchwork was not done to fill up the pits. As the work on the sewer line work continues the digging onwards has further ruined the road.

Fazalganj, Dadanagar and Juhi Pul are the three areas that connect the South City.  Rains cause waterlogging. Juhi pul submerges in rainwater thereby disconnecting traffic connectivity. Dadanagar remains famous for a massive jam as rains start.

Assessing the severity of the road condition, B K Garg, GM, Jal Nigam said the work needs to speed up  for making the road motorable so that road users could not face trouble.
