India: Blood tests kits' shortage hampers sample report timely

Kanpur: Special kits are required for blood tests like d dimer, ferritin, CRP and LDH. But there is a problem with the supply of these kits. This causes a delay in the doctor reports of the test.

According to available news, the patients have to wait for a week. As the Hallet hospital has been conducting the test with the lasting kits, it causes delay in the test reports.

City's Hallet hospital and a few selected labs conduct these kinds of blood tests which unfold the infection among the patients.

in course of critical condition, the patient is asked to conduct d dimer test which explains the presence of a serious blood clot in the body, ferritin measures the amount of protein in the blood, CRP test measures the amount of CRP in the blood to detect inflammation due to acute conditions while LDH test measures the level of lactate dehydrogenase in blood and other body fluids.

The problem of kits has arisen due to some problem in the supply of kits. The company that supplies testing kits remains helpless for the consignment has not been changing positions after Lucknow, as was reported.
