Kanpur: What has impacted greatly due to the night curfew is the vegetable prices in the city areas. The vegetables have not been reaching the mandis from as far as Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Bilhaur, Ghatampur, and Unnao respectively.

Supply thus gets affected and it has resulted in a spurt of green vegetable prices. The growers are not able to reach the mandis at night.

On account of the night curfew, the farmers tend to sell their various produces on the roadside vegetable mandis. As the Chakarpur Mandi brims during the night, the growers cannot reach due to curfew timings. In such a case the mandis look to be nearly empty.

The growers think it is better to reach different veg markets in the city and sell their produces.
