Kanpur: Jajmau's widest road was not crowded in the afternoon as enough vehicles were not moving due to the clear sun. The shops alongside the road were open but the customers were scant.
When people were asked about the vacant road, they simply answered it was mainly because of the heat. The temperature of the day is rising every day. In a bid to avoid sun rays the activity remains low during the time 12.30 to 3.00 p.m.
As the 150 feet road is the main road in the tannery town of Jajmau, there remains a rise in the crowd, the heat restricts the commuters. Day by day the temperature is rising and the people revert to the habit of an evening outing.
