Afghanistan: Another Man Arrested For Involvement In Kabul University Terror Attack: Official

Extremists attack in Kabul University

KABUL, Feb 7 (NNN-AGENCIES) – Afghanistan’s national intelligence agency personnel, arrested another man, allegedly being involved in a terror attack on Kabul University, late last year, Afghan First Vice-President, Amrullah Saleh, confirmed yesterday.

“Another key element behind the Kabul University vicious attack, Mohammad Omar, who was under prosecution, was arrested in Police District 16, of the Kabul city,” Saleh, who is heading a security team in-charge of security of the capital, wrote, on his official Facebook account.

On Nov 2, a group of terrorists stormed Kabul University, after detonating explosive devices. They entered the university campus and began indiscriminate shooting, killing at least 22 students and wounding nearly two dozens other students.

“As the people are aware, an individual, involved in the attack, had also been arrested earlier, and had been sentenced to death and we would be witnessing their hangings,” the vice-president noted.

Days after the horrific incident, Saleh announced the arrest of Adil, who was the prime mover of the Kabul University attack, and the arrestee was sentenced to death by an Afghan court.
