India: RPF recovers e-tickets, arrests 2 agents

KANPUR: Two travel agents have been arrested from two separate travel agencies in Kidwainagar here. Despite running the travel agencies they avoided using vendor’s identity card. They were indulged in black-marketing of railway e-ticket on large scale. The Railway Police Force has recovered e-ticket worth above rupees two lakh from their possession.

Detailing of this raid the RPF Inspector Anand Kumar told that the e-tickets worth Rs 63,170 were recovered from a travel agency set up in KDA market of Kidwai Nagar. Its owner Rishab Gupta was held.

Another raid was conducted Travels Office situated at Gulab Complex in Kidwai Nagar. As many as 118 e-tickets worth Rs 1.72 Lakh were also recovered. Its owner Tarun Porwal has been sent to the RPF Chowki at Anwarganj here.

In both the cases, action under section 143 of the Railway Act was in progress.
