India: Teachers fail to discipline students in online classes

KANPUR: It seems the teachers are not able to control the pupils in the online classes like they used to be disciplining the students in the normal classes at the school.

Feeling free at the online class in the morning hours not all but a few or even one or two students manage to indulge in some naughty ways to distract the teachers who remain in full concentration to impart skills of three R's to them.

One recent instance of this distraction though not the first time happened prior to the start of the periodic test today.

The teacher was in full speed to divulge every detail of the historical topic. In the meantime, she sensed someone has muted her.

Enraged at this unpardonable indiscipline she asked the disrespectful student to call her mother. She was overheard saying of her struggle to teaching online. When the student's mother came she denied the charge. The student had to bear the brunt of this indiscipline.

Even the parents have not been thinking of the online classes as useful or helpful as were projected. They were criticising in their own way. Some say online classes are just a way to show the study has not been discontinued amid the long closure of the school. Large many others have expressed schools try to take fee so this practice continues. Whatever it may be, both the teachers and the students remain agitated, irritated and disturbed.
