KANPUR: Early morning rain and thunderstorm surprised the denizens on Saturday. Till the afternoon the maximum temperature reached as high as 40 degrees Celsius while the real feel remained at 41 degrees Celsius.
So long as the downpours affected there was quite a comfortable temperature but sooner the warm sunny weather dominated us. The residents began to feel respite from the warmer weather ☀️ by the time clock struck 3:18 p.m.
The easily available gadget to cool the space was cooler as it maintains the humidity of the room. Residents looked desperate to start cooler, an electric-operated box with khus grass stuffed mesh gates. They said that morning rain was relieving but what terrified us was the thunderous echo of the clouds.
