India: PM's visit altered look of 150-feet road in Jajmau

Kanpur: On the day of the Prime Minister's visit to the city, the 150-feet road in Jajmau appeared in its full width with cleanliness all over the road. Even lime powder on both the sides of the road drew our attention.

Reacting on this sudden change of the wide road the residents of the area expressed their satisfaction and elation. They added such a day comes very rarely. Would that there were weekly visits to the very very important persons in the city.

What surprised the road users was that there was no traffic or crowd on this important day. The shops were partly opened and the encroachments remained missing much to the satisfaction of the one and all.

Though the weather remained cloudy in the morning, the sun later spread its brightness in the afternoon. Schools remained open in Jajmau. The students faced no trouble after school was over as some junior class students were overheard saying there was no problem.

The PM's plane landed at Chakeri airport after 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The patchwork on the run-down roads from Ramadevi to Jajmau Nai Chungi, around Circuit House, Harjendra Nagar crossing, etc were carried out on Friday.
