COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) — Nine bombings of churches, luxury hotels and other sites on Easter Sunday killed more than 200 people and wounded hundreds more in Sri Lanka’s deadliest violence since a devastating civil war in the South Asian island nation ended a decade ago.
New Delhi, Apr 20 (PTI) Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi Saturday said that "reputation" is the only thing which a judge has and if it will be attacked on baseless allegations of sexual harassment, no "sane person" will come forward to take up judgeship.
"If such things will happen then no judge is going to decide matters. He (judge) will say why should I decide. Then I will come (in the court) and simply adjourn the cases. Why will any sane person want to become a judge? Reputation is the only thing which a judge has," the CJI said.
New Delhi, Apr 20 (PTI) The Bar Council of India Saturday condemned the "false and cooked-up" sexual harassment allegations against Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and said the entire bar was standing with the CJI, and against this "attempt to malign the institution".

Raigarh, Apr 20 (PTI) Five men have been arrested for allegedly gang-raping a 15-year-old girl at her house in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh, police said Saturday.
The incident took place on Wednesday night in a village under Gharghoda police station area when the victim was alone at her house, Raigarh Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Arawal said Saturday.

Panaji, Apr 20 (PTI) Former Goa RSS Chief Subhash Velingkar Saturday alleged that the ruling BJP has created "terror" amongst voters in the state, which he said existed even when late Manohar Parrikar was the chief minister.
Velingkar, who is the mentor of Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM), said there was "jabardast dahashat" (terrible terror) under Parrikar-led regime.
The GSM has fielded candidates in the bypolls to Shiroda and Mandrem assembly constituencies, which will be held along with Lok Sabha elections in Goa on April 23.
