Kanpur: Neither the guardians, nor the principals nor the educationists are satisfied with the class 12 results of the UP Board. It was viewed as the worst result in the past five years. The percentage which was recorded 88.83 in the year 2015 has lowered to 71.81%. Even the 12% decrease has been registered in comparison to the last year. This was what has been described as the most disappointing trend.
A letter to the state chief minister is supposed to be sent. Considering it a grave matter Dr Angad Singh, Director, BNSD Shiksha Niketan said that evaluation of the copies was not properly taken. This was bad with the students. The CM should be apprised of this point.
Same views were expressed by the principals when S Dwivedi, principal, JNVM Inter College maintained that examinees had obtained less marks owing to poor evaluation of the copies. It was correct to say that result percentage had gone down.
Last but not the least the guardians have also expressed their annoyance at poor markings. They did not fail to point out that the UP Board results were not like CBSE &ICSE results. Examinees have secured general marks in Hindi, marks in Computer and Science subjects were also not so good.
Comparatively the results were far better in 2018, 2017, 2016 & 2015 if we take a look on the percentage. A total of 1.03 Lakh examinees appeared at the Intermediate examinations this year.
