Kanpur: It is after a decade the Harcourt Butler Technology University in line with IIT-Kanpur gets ready to colloborate with foreign Asian universities.
It was being assumed that the University administration will enter into MoU with other foreign universities.
It has been learnt that the HBTU has approached Japan, Singapore, New Zealand and Australian universities under the education exchange programme plan.
Prof NB Singh, VC, HBTU, said this would help both the faculty and the students as well. In the year 2010 the then VC RK Khataulia signed memorandum of understanding with South Korean Hanwaat University in Seoul.
Korean faculty visited in 2011 and further a delegation arrived here in 2014. Two students from HBTU had visited for 3-month advance study in South Korea in the year 2012. A few faculty members also paid a visit to South Korea in the year 2013.
