KANPUR: It has been decided on checking copies of Uttar Pradesh Board Examinations within two weeks. For this purpose, as many as five centres have been selected in the city for evaluation.
Detailing about this arrangement, SK Tiwari, district inspector of schools, said that a proposal for six evaluation centres was sent to the UP Board headquarters at Allahabad. The Board rejected the proposal for sixth evaluation centre of AV Vidyalaya at Mall Road. Therefore the evaluation would be initiated at five selected centres from March 8.
He also added that about ten thousand examiners would extend their services for evaluating the answer sheets of High School & Intermediate exams.
Although the evaluation of the copies on the first day will carry on only at one centre yet the evaluation at other centres will continue from March 10. It has also been reported that a few answer sheets for evaluation have been dropped at Govt Inter College, Chunniganj.
This has been caused owing to the examination of the Madhyamik Siksha Selection Board to be held on March 8 and 9 respectively.
High school examinations copies will be evaluated at Saryu Narayan Vidyalaya and DAV Inter College while Intermediate exams copies will be evaluated at three colleges viz. BNSD Chunniganj, GIC Chunniganj and Har Sahay Jagdamba Sahay P Road.
In the meantime, it has also been decided that those examinees who failed to appear at the practical examinations of different subjects can appear at selected centres on March 5 & 6.
