India: Wrong injection takes man's life alleges his father

Kanpur: A man who suffered a fracture and was undergoing treatment at a private hospital here died following a wrong injection administered by medical facility's staff, on Friday, as his family alleged.

The deceased patient was identified as Sunil Pal (33), a resident of Unnao.

Nearly three months ago, he had sustained a fracture in one of his hands, as per reports.

He was undergoing treatment at a privately owned hospital in Kalyanpur area here.

When he visited the hospital for a regular check-up on Friday, he was administered some injection by the medical facility's staff, following which his health started worsening.Ultimately, he passed away.

His kin claimed that the injection caused his death, according to a news report.

Sunil started feeling uncomfortable as soon as the hospital staff administered him an injection.

Later, his condition worsened. When we asked the staff to do something, they told us to take him to the GSVM medical college-run Cardiology hospital. 

The doctors here declared him brought dead on arrival. My son died within 15 minutes and it's all due to the negligence by the hospital staff,  said the deceased man's father, Sukhlal Pal.

The deceased man's family members informed the police about the matter and then took his body to Unnao.

Following this, they contacted the Unnao Kotwali to get the post-mortem examination done.

The post-mortem examination was performed at the Unnao district hospital on Saturday.

WrUnnao Kotwali police stated the post-mortem report will be given to the deceased man's family after it comes in.
