India: Elevated road corridor on NH-34 to be a boon for Kanpur

Kanpur: A detailed project report for an elevated Ganga link expressway in the city will be readied by the Union Road Transport & Highways Ministry, according to the news.

The 30-Km proposed elevated road corridor will be stretched on National Highway-34. It would connect the city's interior areas with the Ganga barrage here.

Neeraj Srivastava, coordinator of the high-level joint development committee presented the plan to officers concerned in Delhi, he added.

The divisional commissioner regards that the project would prove to be a boon for Kanpur.

Additional Secretary Amit Kumar Ghosh agreed on the funding of this project.

The project was conceptualised in the year 2018 and had got approvals at the state level but sometimes lost momentum.
