India: IIT-K Cell Scientist gets Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award

Kanpur: A total of 11 scientists received the country's highest science award Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for science and technology 2021 on the 80th foundation day of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

The Indian scientists below the age of 45 for outstanding research get this outstanding award in seven different fields like Biology, Chemistry, Environment Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine and Physics respectively.

For Biological Sciences, Dr Arun Kumar Shukla, department of biological sciences and bioengineering, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, was also awarded.

He is an Indian structural biologist (cell scientist). He has been working at IIT Kanpur since the year 2014.
