India: DM says schools no to fee hike during online classes

Kanpur: In his order issued to the school directors, the district magistrate said that action would be taken against the schools if there was received a complaint regarding the fee hike during the online classes.

It was further stated if any school has taken hiked fee it would be adjusted in the next month's fee.

The school management has also been told not to accept fee under the library, laboratory and other heads.

However, the fee book issued by the school suggests no classified division of fee. The integrated amount has been displayed, though with the column of fine.

What the parents get is relief from the fine. Most of the parents think that this is the only rebate being paid to us. Otherwise, there is no fee cut. They do not understand where is the rebate in the fee. No fee, no result policy goes in the academic arena. There is no decrease in the total amount of fee being taken since the last session.

The parents raised the demand of at least a 30% cut in the total amount of fee being realised presently.
