KANPUR: A little dispute led to firing in the JK Colony II of Chakeri area on Monday afternoon. Police seized the licensed gun of the retired Daroga and began an initial investigation. Neighbours were also contacted for further information in regard to the dispute.
According to the reports, arguments started over stretching of electric beads between the two neighbours. The relatives of Vijay Kant, a resident of the J K Colony II, got entangled into heated arguments with the neighbour Tulsiram Parashar, a retired Daroga.
As their spat rose to a point of no return, the firing was shot by the side of the retired Daroga from his licensed gun. Receiving the information of this sudden row, the police arrived on the spot and took both the bickering parties into custody. The single barrel gun was also seized. It was also reported that the Daroga's son Adarsh fired in anger following the dispute.
The neighbours told the police about their old dispute over a wall construction between both the families. The neighbour Vijay Kant Sachan said his son’s marriage was scheduled for Tuesday (Feb 12) so they were busy in preparations of the wedding ceremony. It was only at stretching of the electric beads their dispute took an ugly turn.
However, the retired Daroga maintained that he fired his gun for protection as his neighbours entered the house. Inspector Ajay Seth of Chakeri police station stated that the retired Daroga was taken into custody and his licensed gun was also seized.
