India: Roadways driver uses insight to stop bus with faulty brake

Kanpur: The brake of a roadways bus ceased to function in night hours suddenly at Jajmau here on Sunday. No reports of a big loss was reported owing to lesser number of people around the crossing. 

Although a big accident was avoided yet the claims of the maintenance of the roadways buses has been exposed.

The bus was laden with a few passengers at the time of occurrence of the brake failure, a major defect, at Ramadevi crossing in the Jajmau area here. 

None of the 22 passengers was injured. The driver applied his sense to avert a dominant mishap. He anyhow stopped the bus by hitting a wall near the police station.

The roadways passenger bus of Vikas Nagar Depot was arriving at Kanpur from Lucknow. While the bus was turning to the Jhakarcatti side from the Ramadevi crossing, the pressure pipe was burst, ultimately leading to brake failure. The bus driver very tactfully hit the wall with the vehicle in a bid to stop the moving bus.
