11 June 2021; MEMO: Israeli occupation forces have shot dead at least three Palestinians, including two Palestinian Authority (PA) intelligence officers, in a predawn raid in the city of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian authorities said today.
According to the Ministry of Health's statement, Adham Yasser Eleiwi, 23, and Tayseer Ayasa, 32; who are members of the PA's Military Intelligence force, were killed during an Israeli raid into the city of Jenin in search of wanted Palestinians, one of whom was also killed in the shooting. The third Palestinian victim was named as Jamil Al-Amouri.
Another Palestinian officer, Muhammad Al-Bazour, 23, was critically injured during the Israeli undercover mission and has been moved to an Israeli hospital, according to Wafa.
Reporting from occupied East Jerusalem, journalist Harry Fawcett said the incident was "an undercover operation in a civilian vehicle," Al Jazeera reported.
Talking to Chinese Xinhua News Agency, Akram Rajoub, governor of Jenin, said that what happened in the city "is a clear Israeli assault on the Palestinian Authority and its security apparatuses," adding that "these crimes must immediately stop."
