India: Night Curfew Imposed In Delhi To Check Surging COVID-19 Cases

NEW DELHI, Apr 6 (NNN-PTI) – The Delhi government decided, today, to impose a night time curfew, in a bid to curb the rise of COVID-19 cases.

The dusk-to-dawn curfew will begin from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. local time, and it will last till the end of the month.

Over the past couple of days, the Delhi state government has been taking measures to contain the COVID-19 surge. Yesterday, it decided to keep one-third of all vaccination sites in government hospitals open, round-the-clock.

The national capital, which has been one of the most COVID-19 affected places in the country, witnessed as many as 3,548 new cases and 15 deaths through yesterday.

So far as many as 11,096 people have died in the national capital, according to Delhi’s health department.
