KANPUR: Files with applications for arms license are compiled at Arms Licence Section at the Collectorate here. Inspecting the section on Tuesday the district magistrate, Vijay Vishwas Pant found several irregularities. Expressing deep resentment at laxities he warned the dealing clerk and sought his clarifications in this regard. Herewith he also gave strict warning to other employees for dereliction in duty.
The district magistrate was not wholly satisfied with the upkeep of files, disposal of license and unique identification number to the applicants. He submitted the matter for a thorough inspection to the ADM (city) Vivek Srivastava. He stayed at the section for about 90 minutes. He checked every file. What annoyed him most was laxities.
Meanwhile, he also ordered for one-day salary cut of absent employees. He was conducting an annual inspection of the Collectorate. As many as ten employees remained absent during his inspection. He also warned the designated officer of food security and drugs section for his failure in showing the inspection reports and issuance of the license to the applicants He was accompanied with ADM(finance) Sanjay Chauhan and SDM (Sadar) Sanjay Kumar.
