Kanpur: Did you know that the zoo will supposedly be opening for the visitors from September 22?
Though the conclusive decision rests on the report of the ADM (City) Atul Kumar, as was reported.
The District Magistrate Alok Tiwari had sought a report on Corona procedure from his subordinate in this regard.
However, the zoo's assistant director A K Singh told that the DM has assured us to open the zoo sooner.
It would be noted here that since the zoo had been closed it remained shut in view of the Corona pandemic.
Owing to such a long closure the financial condition of the Allen Forest Zoo has worsened with the time. It now has led to the food problem for the animals living in the zoo.
It might be due to this reason, the zoo officials were forced to face an embarrassment. The amount of Rs 1.10 Cr received from the state government was reported to be on the verge of ending. In such situation, the zoo administration was finding itself incapable of providing food to the animals.
Meanwhile, the city dwellers offered their assistance by arranging food materials for the zoo animals. It has also been learnt that the CUGL, a joint venture company, will extend its monetary help to the zoo and another company will arrange a fund to feed the lion for the whole of the year.
