India: SP youth workers stage protest in Barra area

Kanpur: Push and shove flashed between Barra police and SP protesters when the Samajwadi Party workers staged a Dharna on the road to protest the government's inaction towards rising unemployment.

They were raising slogans against the government. Not only this but they were also beating thali majira and begging at Patel Chowk in Barra of South city area here today.

Police came into action due to the flouting of the rules by the protesters. The protesters were later taken to the Barra police station.

The BJP govt has failed to provide fresh jobs to the unemployed. Hundreds have lost their jobs during the present time, said Arpit Yadav, president of Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha(Rural) adding that the government contractual service for 5 years and the retirement at 50 years of age were also not logical.

The Samajwadi workers observed Rashtriya Berojkar Diwas on PM Modi's 70th birthday.
