India: Anwarganj railway station to open for trains from Saturday

Kanpur: As Anwarganj railway station will again share some of the passengers on its platform, the deputy CTM HS Upadhaya in his recent inspection directs his accountable subordinates to improve the condition of the station by Saturday.

Whatever deficiencies he found during his inspection on Wednesday he instructed the officials concerned to remove within two days.

As the Chauri-Chaura Express and the Kalindi Express are going to start from coming September 12 the arrangements are necessary. One train begins from Anwarganj station and completes its journey via Allahabad and Varanasi to Gorakhpur. While another train Kalindi Express runs through Anwarganj up to Rohtak in Haryana.

Filling of pits on platform no 1, a separate gate for entry and exit, the arrangement of sanitizer and thermal scanning gadget are some of the important arrangements that will be attended on a priority basis.

Besides sanitation around the station and rule of social distancing for passengers will also be looked carefully.
